This week we’re looking at where to buy African clothes for kids in London and our next jewel of a find is east London’s, House of LouLee.
This gorgeous online brand offers some really cute, unique designs, some of which are straight up African – bright colours, Ankara prints, excellent tailoring. Other designs are a combination of Africa meets the West, tee-shirts, hoodies, jumpsuits, even babygrows fused with African prints and designs.
On the website, the founder of the brand, Lucy, calls herself ‘a woman with a sewing machine permanently attached to her arm.’ She says on her website that the cultural diversity she experienced being born in east London inspired her love for fashion and design. And it is quite obvious that this has spurred her on to starting her successful brand.
House of Loulee designs for babies, children & adults and sells directly through the online shop.
They also have a blog which is updated regularly on the events they showcase at including pop-up shops in Spitalfields market amongst others and children’s catwalk shows too. Lucy is also open to calls and emails for special requests and orders too.
Planetfem’s favourite design are these super-cute 100% cotton harem trousers with a matching bow tie! Awww! The price is brilliant too – from £25- £32.
