‘Tribe and Elan Webazine Launches

Nigerian publicist Moriam Musa has launched a fantastic new webazine – Tribe & Elan.

The webazine follows on from her successful blog, Morsi, reporting on the latest Nigerian and African fashions, lifestyle and beauty tips. The webazine promotes a fresh, dynamic African lifestyle scene, and continues Morsi’s tradition of interesting Nigerian celebrity reportage on both current and historical fashion and lifestyle icons.

The first issue has one such piece of juicy celebrity gossip — a story on the former ‘most beautiful girl in Nigeria 2013’ who is reportedly pregnant by the high life singer, Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour. Apparently the young model has quit her studies at Middlesex University in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is on her way to South Africa. Has she left of her own accord or has she been expelled for being pregnant and unmarried? Ooer!

On a more serious note, there is a report on fashion designer, Obiangeli Chioma Madawuba of Bijelly Couture, as well as a feature on foreign Naija brand, BKYO, and an interview with the female Exquisite magazine publisher, Tewa Onasanya on the eve of her feature on CNN.

Tribe and Elan also covers an insightful interview with Patoranking, who is the cover star of Made magazine’s March 2015 issue, styled by Tokyo James and photographed by Reze Bonna.

Nigerian-born Patoranking is making serious worldwide tsunami-sized waves with his debut reggae album which means he is also obviously expert enough to define the most beautiful women of the twenty-first century, whom he goes on to list. He also imparts useful advice on who we should never take sex advice from (umm, maybe you, Pato? Just a thought!) On picking up a girl, Patoranking advises: ‘Be yourself, Try to make her smile, Make sure your breath is fresh, Be honest with her, Ask for guidance from above.’Oh, the wisdom! Despite our slight sarcasm, it’s actually an interesting read and he seems a sweetheart! Let’s hope he follows his own advice too!
