London Collections: Mens takes place next month, once again giving a platform to emerging British brands and established designers whose current designs emphasise the rich cultural landscape that has inspired them.
The shows tale place from Friday 12th June to Monday 15th June. The Ready-to-Wear designers will be showcasing at the Hospital Club and NEWGEN MEN while Accessories designers exhibit at Victoria House. This year, there will also be a BFC Show Space at the Old Sorting Office.
GQ Editor, who is also chair of the Menswear Committee, Dylan Jones comments that,
“LC: M has already become a staple of the menswear calendar, and is a fabulous way to kick off the season. We have all been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm for the project, and the scale and ambition of all the many designers who are now showing here is incredibly infectious. This year Agape Mdumulla and Sam Cotton take the stage as one of the establishing designers of 2015. Agi & Sam was founded by the friends who met while working for the late great Alexander McQueen. They decided it was time for a fun and fearless menswear brand, happy to make fun of itself, yet cutting trends with its bespoke.
Agi Mdumulla was born in Tanzania and studied Fashion Design at Manchester School of Art. Sam Cotton studied Illustration at University of Lincoln. Sam produced prints for McQueen, Lagerfeld, Armand Basi and Carolyn Massey while Agi cut his cloth in a Soho tailors They have just delivered their first womenswear exclusive collection for Harvey Nichols and intend to build on this each season, adding new pieces and styles into the store and gradually creating a full womenswear collection. Also, more recently, their menswear has been bought by Liberty for SS13.
Last year they delivered their first ever womenswear collection exclusively for Harvey Nichols. Their menswear collection is carried by Liberty.
